KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 16.74 g, 12 h), Lamsapkos, circa 297/6-282/1. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟY Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with lion's head; behind, transverse spear; to outer left, herm to left; in inner left field, monogram. Meydancikkale 2614. Müller 91 ('Sestos'). Thompson 50. Somewhat rough and with faint cleaning scratches on the obverse and areas of horn silver on the reverse, otherwise, about very fine.
